We have officially ended our 2022 kidding season and have had several beautiful babies! If you are on our waiting list, I will be contacting you shortly. If you would like to be added to our contact list for next years' kids, please email us at Whistlingwindpygmies@gmail.com. As the kids begin to arrive we will contact you, and if you are interested, you may place a deposit to hold any available kid of your choice.
We do accept deposits as soon as the kids are born, (1/2 down, non-refundable) by mail or by appointment, to hold your pick. The balance is paid at the time of pickup, upon weaning, which is typically at 8 weeks unless other arrangements are made. We do not accept any deposits before the kids are born, and by being on our contact list you are under no obligation to purchase a kid.
Please note that our contact list does take priority and kids are offered to those on our contact list on a first come first served basis. Please know that being on our contact list does not necessarily guarantee that we will have a goat available for you as there is no way to predict how many kids that we may have each year. The earlier you are placed on the list, the better the chances that as we work our way down the list, from the beginning, to be as fair as possible. Please understand that while we do our best to ensure everyone will have a chance at selecting a goat, we have no way of predicting how many kids that we will have available each kidding season, and you will not be guaranteed a goat until you place your deposit on your pick.
All of our kids come disbudded, up to date on shots- CD&T & Selenium. They are also dewormed, deloused, current on hoof trimming, and happy & healthy at the time you pick them up! Most of our kids are NPGA registerable and will come with NPGA registration application to register them, if you choose to do so. Our goats are a huge part of our family and we handle them daily, therefore they are well socialized at weaning. For obvious reasons, we cannot guarantee their health once they have left our farm.
There is still room available, if you would like to be added to our contact list, for 2023 kids, but don't wait, as they do go extremely fast! We begin kidding every March, and most kids will be ready to wean and go to their new homes, mid May to the first of June.
Scrapie tags are provided for those who need them, for show, if requested. If this is your first goat, please note that goats are herd animals and you will need to purchase at least 2, for the health and well being of your goats.
